Andrew Lacey

Andrew Lacey is an unusual combination of professional artist and founder with a background in archaeometallurgy and a deep understanding of the technical history of art. He has, in his own sculptural work used the horse and figure as motif and muse. His sculptures and drawings are in private collections across Europe.

Andrew has produced numerous didactic and research sculptures that can be seen in a number of major museums. Working with museum study groups has led him to this particular personal mission of bridging the distant historic aspects of creating sculpture with the modern methods used in their analysis and understanding. He has led workshops on Renaissance casting techniques for art historians and scientist and collaborating with Victoria & Albert Museum on their Riccio bronze study project.

Andrew Lacey is represented at Wimbledon Fine Art by Judy Stafford of Stafford Gallery. For further information please visit: www.staffordgallery.co.uk or call 020 8944 6593 07939 048 436 or email judy@staffordgallery.co.uk
