Hilary Dymond was born in Blackwood, Wales in 1953.

She studied art at Kingston University and Wimbledon School of Art, moving to France in 1987 where she continued and completed her studies at the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Lyon, obtaining a diploma and winning the Linossier Prize.

Since then a very successful career as a professional artist has followed. She has exhibited widely and has paintings in many public and private collections.
